Why was my registration rejected — and what can I do?

Common reasons why an Axi account application may be rejected, which decisions are final, and what to do if you can reapply.

If your registration was rejected, the reason determines whether you can reapply or not.

Hard rejections — cannot reapply

The following result in a permanent block with no appeal process:

  • Regulatory or compliance restriction — in some cases, Axi is unable to onboard a client due to regulatory or compliance reasons. This decision is final and cannot be overridden

  • Underage — you must be 18 or older globally, with no exceptions

  • Account opened on someone else's behalf — accounts must be opened and operated by the account holder only

  • Unsupported country — if your country is not supported, this cannot be overridden

Rejections you can fix and resubmit

If your application failed verification (KYC), you can correct the issue and resubmit your documents.

Common reasons include:

  • Expired identification document (you must submit a valid, unexpired ID)

  • Blurry or unclear image

  • Black and white document (a colour photo of the original document is required — scanned copies are not accepted)

  • Scanned copy instead of original photo

  • Unsupported document type for your country

You can resubmit in the Client Portal using a valid document that meets the verification requirements shown during the application process.

Still rejected after resubmitting?

Contact Client Services via the Help Center with your account details and the error message you received.
