The Axi MCP connection is a link between your Axi trading accounts and Claude, Anthropic's AI assistant. Once connected, you can ask Claude to review your account details, analyze market data, or manage trades on your MT5 account —without writing code or installing extra software.
An active MT5 account. If your account is closed or archived, or you only hold MT4 or Axi trading platform accounts, you can still open the MCP settings page in your Client Portal or Axi mobile app, but you won't be able to connect. A message on the page will confirm that an active (verified or not verified) MT5 account is required.
Your own Claude account. You'll need to sign up for Claude yourself at claude.ai.
You set it up your account or the connection yourself, and we can guide you through the steps. Our support team can walk you through the steps via live chat or email, but we can't set up the connection on your behalf or create a Claude account for you. Not Axi's chatbot: The AI chatbot on the Axi website and app is a separate support tool. It isn't Claude, and it can't be connected to your account through MCP. MCP only works with Claude.
Not an automated trading robot: Claude is not an automated strategy or Expert Advisor (EA). It only executes actions when you explicitly ask it to in the conversation, unless you have separately changed a specific action setting to "Always allow" (see article: How do I manage permissions, disconnect, reconnect, or fix Axi MCP connection?).
Not a financial advisor: Claude is an AI assistant, not a licensed financial advisor. It can summarize your account data, provide market quotes, or explain what you are looking at, but nothing it says constitutes a trade recommendation. All trading decisions and financial risks remain entirely yours.
No. Custom connectors, including the Axi MCP, work on Claude's Free plan as well as Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans.
Claude Free Plan Note: You can connect Axi as your custom connector on Claude's Free plan at no cost. However, Claude's Free tier only allows one custom connector to be active at a time. If you want to use multiple custom tools simultaneously, you will need to upgrade to a paid Claude plan. (Please note: These plan limits and features are managed directly by Anthropic, not Axi)
